We are proud to announce that with our July 9th release, we will now offer event and behavior tracking to allow for more targeted sending based on your customer’s browsing behavior. WhatCounts will provide behavior tracking scripts that our publishing/media clients can drop onto their website(s) to leverage browsing data for email and segmentation purposes.
The publishing vertical, just like the retail vertical, has a need to capitalize on visitor behavior, a way to harness this data to target their customers and personalize the content that gets delivered to them. Any client that has a media site with pages, categories, and a search bar will be able to find value from this offering. From speaking to several of our clients, we found an eagerness to use this feature to both deliver new content to visitors and turn visitors into subscribers. We are happy to deliver this functionality with this latest release.
Tell Me More
Our behavior tracking feature provides behavior tracking scripts that you can apply to your content site to track:
- Page Views
- Category Views
- Search Queries
You can use the data captured from the scripts to segment and target your messaging accordingly.
We have updated the Browse Behavior menu option on the Create Standard Rule page to include to content-based fields in addition to product related fields.
